Born and raised in Haiti, FABIENNE JOSAPHAT graduated with an MFA in creative writing from Florida International University. She is the author of Kingdom of No Tomorrow (Algonquin Books), which won the PEN/Bellwether Prize for Socially Engaged Fiction, and a previous novel, Dancing in the Baron’s Shadow (Unnamed Press). She also writes nonfiction, poetry, and screenplays. Her work has been featured in The African American Review, The Washington Post, Teen Vogue, The Master’s Review, Grist Journal, Damselfly, and other publications. Her poems have been anthologized in Eight Miami Poets (Jai-Alai Books).
