Georgina Godwin

GEORGINA GODWIN is books editor for the international station Monocle Radio and the host of the flagship literary show Meet the Writers as well as the current affairs program The Globalist. She chairs book events worldwide and is on the board of English PEN and an honorary fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. She has previously judged the Bailie Gifford Prize for Nonfiction, the Caine Prize for African Writing, the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards, and the British Book Awards. She is originally from Zimbabwe, where she was one of the founders of the country’s first independent radio station, consequently designating her as an “enemy of the state” and causing her to be banned from the county of her birth. She lives in London and travels extensively. She is featured in books by her brother, Peter Godwin.
