HERA NAGUIB, author of Rupture Anthem: Poems (Pitt Poetry Series) (University of Pittsburgh Press), was born in Saudi Arabia and has lived transnationally in Canada, Pakistan, and the United States. Winner of the John Mackay Shaw Academy of American Poets Award and the Quarterly West Poetry Prize, her work has appeared in The Believer, The Iowa Review, AGNI, the Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-Day series, New England Review, World Literature Today, and elsewhere. A former Fulbright scholar and a recipient of the VIDA Residency Fellowship, her work has also received support from Art Omi and the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, among others.
