JENNIFER MARITZA MCCAULEY is the author of the cross-genre collection Scar On/Scar Off and the short story collection When Trying to Return Home, which was a New York Times Editors’ Choice. She has been granted fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Kimbilio, and CantoMundo; is a fiction editor at Pleiades; and teaches at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Her poetry collection Kinds of Grace (Flowersong Press) explores the complicated facets of Blackness and Afro-Latinidad.
