MICKI BERTHELOT MORENCY is the Haitian American author of The Island Sisters: A Novel and I Shall Find You: A Novel (Island Publishing). She has published numerous short stories, articles, and essays and has won several awards, including a Writer’s Digest competition. Through her work, Morency gives a voice to the voiceless, sharing her personal story of overcoming obstacles as an immigrant to motivate others.
