Pascale Doxy

Born in Haiti, PASCALE DOXY is a renowned writer and artist, acclaimed for her vivid narratives and intricate artwork. Her YA novel, Les Enfants de la cause – published in English in 2023 as Heirs to a Cause: A Novel – traverses time and uncovers forgotten epochs of Haitian history, seamlessly blending everyday Caribbean life and the richness of Haiti’s past and mysteries. She is the author of the bilingual poetry collections Journal d’Étrangers (Foreign Diary) and Concerto du Coeur (Concerto of the Heart), a romantic series of works published in both French and English. Her journey with art began early, maturing through esteemed mentorships and self-learning, culminating in numerous exhibitions from Florida to North Carolina. Her innovative pieces, sparking change and intrigue, have gained international recognition. From an early affinity with watercolors, her artistic mediums evolved to bolder acrylics. The devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti marked a turning point, transforming her painting from a passion to a therapeutic embodiment of her vibrant, multifaceted culture.
