Russell Motley

RUSSELL MOTLEY is an award-winning journalist and communications professor at Florida Memorial University. A former television news anchor with extensive broadcast experience, he brings decades of storytelling expertise to his role as an educator and media professional. As editor-in-chief emeritus of M·I·A Media Group, he has developed content strategies and guided editorial teams throughout South Florida. His leadership in the South Florida chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists reflects his commitment to advancing journalism and mentoring emerging media professionals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in communication from Florida A&M University. His unique perspective bridges the worlds of professional journalism and academia, making him an insightful moderator for conversations about media, communication, and the written word.
