TAYARI JONES is most recently the author of Kin: A Novel (Knopf), a New York Times bestseller and an Oprah’s Book Club selection. Her previous novels include An American Marriage, another Oprah’s Book Club selection that also appeared on Barack Obama’s summer reading list and year-end roundup. It won the Women’s Prize for Fiction, the Aspen Words Literary Prize, and an NAACP Image Award, and has been published in two dozen countries. Named to Time’s annual TIME 100 list of the most influential people in the world in 2026, Jones is the C.H. Candler Professor of English and Creative Writing at Emory University and lives in Atlanta.
