On their journey, the Wordsmith family picked up interesting artifacts and learned fascinating new skills that they can’t wait to share – including rhythmic drumming with our friends Inez Barlatier, Miami Bloco, South Florida Center for the Percussive Arts, and Delou Africa; science shows and workshops with Frost Science, Kid Flamess, Jay Flores, and Reactory Factory; hands-on learning experiences with Teachings by Tatiana, Museum of Miami, This Is Improv, and Heal the Planet; animal ambassadors from Pelican Harbor and Zoo Miami, and a new tent takeover with Bricks 4 Kids! Discover them all under the Learn! canopy.
Create!
Make your mark with a variety of artistic activities for all ages at the Create! canopy. Make-and-Take stations with MOAD and The Bass serve up a variety of crafts all day long, so drop in any time to create something new!
For the future art school kid, our featured workshops with local artists offer more in-depth experiences. Featured workshops have limited space, so be sure to pick up your free ticket at the Info Booth, sponsored by Carnival Cruise Line.

Gather with other adventurers to clap your hands, stomp your feet, and move to the beat with all-day entertainment on the Participate! stage. Don’t miss this year’s musical marvels, Mr. J Jams, Kid Time Storytime, PJ Kids, MISTER G, Susie Jaramillo, Inez Barlatier, Delou Africa, and Young Musicians Unite! But that’s not all – the Wordsmiths have cooked up a host of entertainment featuring theatrical plays by Miami Children’s Museum and Creative Stage Productions; magic shows with The Incredible Ian; and special performances of the acclaimed STEM show “It’s Not Magic, It’s Science!” with Jay Flores, global STEM ambassador and an American Ninja Warrior semifinalist!

Last year a new Wordsmith joined the party, Luis X. Libris, and he brought a brand-new imagination station built for the digital adventurer! Head down Wordsmith Way and discover a host of digital wonders and workshops using iPads. Open-ended workshops rotate throughout the day so drop by anytime and Innovate! with us!
