Decorate your very own canvas tote bag using an age-old, classic technique – leaf printing! Using paint and a variety of real leaves in whatever colors and patterns they choose, artists will create and walk away with a tote bag ready to be filled with books.

 This event is a ticketed Create! featured workshop. All featured workshops require a free ticket to attend due to limited seating. Tickets may be picked up at the Info Booth in Children’s Alley; a standby line will be available for each workshop in the event a ticketed attendee does not show up.

Natasha Tomchin is driven by a fascination with natural phenomena. Born in Belarus and raised in Nebraska, she’s called Miami home for the last 13 years. Inspired by the clouds and lush flora, her art draws directly from her surroundings in an effort to connect more deeply with nature by discovering the value in everyday moments that often go unnoticed. These feelings and sensations translate across code art, painted furniture, sculpture, video, and projection installations. Her video art and installation work has been showcased at Art Basel, Zona Maco, and the World Economic Forum, as well as at festivals such as Comedy Central’s Clusterfest, Okeechobee, iii Points, and Miami Music Week. Her work is often featured in the hospitality world and appears at 1 Hotel, Soho House, Nautilus Hotel, Faena, and W Hotels. She has worked on public art projects in Miami and in New York City, along with brand commissions from Virgin Voyages, Summit, and WeWork.
