Dave Eggers’ Contrapposto: A Novel follows young lovers Cricket and Olympia throughout their 65-year relationship, spanning multiple countries and navigating the art world, sickness, health, war, and death. Though their love changes over the decades – Cricket views the captivating Olympia as his soulmate, while her eyes often wander – their commitment to each other, and their search for meaning in the making of art, remains a constant. Eggers is joined in conversation by David Lerner Schwartz, associate professor in the MFA program at the University of Central Florida.
