Centered around major celebrations of America’s milestone birthdays across 250 years, America, U.S.A.: How Race Shadows the Nation’s Anniversaries is a groundbreaking analysis of the vicious cycles of American history. Here, Eddie S. Glaude Jr. combines lessons from historic voices like W.E.B. Du Bois, Herman Melville, and Martin Luther King Jr. to paint an honest portrait of the U.S., its complicated past, and its increasingly tenuous future. Moderating is award-winning journalist Dr. Russell O. Motley, Ed.D.
