In How to Rule the World: An Education in Power at Stanford University, Theo Baker presents a gripping account of Stanford’s culture of excess, access, and corner-cutting. After arriving as a freshman, Baker began examining university president Marc Tessier-Lavigne’s record, uncovering never-reported allegations of research misconduct that led to Stanford investigating – and eventually ousting – its own leader, in a story that shook the scientific world to its core. Joining him to moderate is author Liaquat Ahamed, 1873: The Rothschilds, the First Great Depression, and the Making of the Modern World.
