KAZIM ALI is the author of multiple books of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and cross-genre works. He is also a translator and editor and the founder of the small press Nightboat Books. He received the Banff Mountain Environmental Book Award and the Poetry Foundation’s Pegasus Award for Poetry Criticism. Since 2019, he has been a professor of comparative literature and literary arts at the University of California San Diego. His newest book of poetry is The Man in 119 (Copper Canyon Press).
